Behind the Books

Where the next generation of the book industry gets their start.

We’re changing the book industry.
Figured you might want in on that.

Apply to Be a BookBassador

A note from the founder

I did not build BookBassadors with a trust fund or unlimited resources.

When I started out as an author I quickly realized that serious authors with really good books had almost nowhere to turn for real marketing support at real prices. So I built BookBassadors. And from the very beginning I knew the team powering it would be the next generation of the book industry itself.

Not busy work. Not coffee runs. Real work. Real clients. Real results. Real experience that goes on your resume and stays there.

“The BookBassadors are not just our team. They are the heart of everything we do.”

The ground floor is power. And the view from here is going to be extraordinary.

What you will actually do

This is not your average internship. BookBassadors interns work across the full Bookshelf. Every project produces something real. Every week you learn something new. You leave here with real work you can actually be proud to show people.

“Most internships give you busy work and a line on your resume. We give you real work and a story worth telling.”

Who we are looking for

We are looking for students who love books and mean it.

We want people who get excited. About books. About design. About marketing. About storytelling. About building something that matters. Pick one. Pick all of them. Just bring that energy and we will teach you everything else. You do not have to have all the answers. You do not have to know everything yet. You just have to show up ready to learn, care deeply about the work, and do it with everything you have. We especially love students who have a favorite book they will not stop talking about. Marketing, communications, PR, graphic design, English, creative writing, publishing, business, education. Passion for books matters more than major.

If you read this and felt seen, keep going. We want to meet you.

How it works

Apply. Interview. Build things together.

  • Applications are rolling and always open.
  • We onboard in semester cohorts of 4 to 6 interns per cycle.
  • We reach out within one week if we want to schedule a conversation.
  • If it is a good fit we handle the credit paperwork with your school.
  • Orientation. Real projects. Real deadlines. Real support.

Congrats. You’re officially a BookBassador.
